The moral declaration of truth

"On the January 20th of 2009 according to the Word of the U.S. Constitution you [president-elect Barack Obama] will make the most important moral declaration of truth in your life before the entire Nation: Oath of Affirmation."

An Open Letter to the President-Elect Barack Obama
From Boris Tirasposly,
Founding Member of American Ideological Society

December 20, 2008

Congratulations on your winning the election for the Highest Office of the Land, Mr. Obama! Happy Christmas and New Year to you and your Family! Although, I never voted for you due to my disagreement with the ideological platform of your election campaign - open anticonservatism, indistinct calls for a “change” I was supposed to “believe in” and promises to solve the current “economic crisis” no experts know what to do with - I recognized your exceptional orator skills and extraordinary ability to raise funds.

Just a side note: I did not vote for any presidential candidate in the 2008 presidential campaign because of my dispute with their either wrong values, or vague practical ideas and ideals. My “independent” philosophy is fully based on the Ideology of the U.S. Constitution and stands for the absolute Ethics and the perfect Esthetics of the Supreme Law of the Land. The latter ought to be fulfilled in every day life “of the people by the people with the people“.

Nevertheless, the majority of American voters elected you and now you will be the next President of the United States, the country I am a proud Citizen and a passionate Patriot of.

On the January 20th of 2009 according to the Word of the U.S. Constitution you will make the most important moral declaration of truth in your life before the entire Nation: Oath of Affirmation. The first part of it will obligate you to “faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States...”.

My concern is not about that part of your Oath. You got a presumption of my trust even in spite of the corruption case involved your close party comrade - the Governor of your home State. My unease relates to the second part of your Oath of Affirmation: “...and with the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”. How will you practically fulfill this part of your Oath? Explain, please.

My reasonable doubt arises out of a few disturbing circ-umstances occurred during your election campaign and a time of transfer the Power from the Republican Administration to yours. The most troubling circ-umstance is your public statement defining the Constitution of the United States as not a “finished” doc-ument.

Do you really deem both the Invisible Hand of absolute Ethics and the Divine Word of perfect Esthetics of the Constitution not polished and refined enough? If so, who and how is going “to finish” the Constitution? You and your future Administration implementing your call for “change? I insist on your precise and practical answer. Don‘t you know, that the verb “to finish” has also another meaning: “to bring to the end” and “to kill”?

One may have any opinion about the Constitution and even deny the absolute Ethics and perfect Esthetics of the Supreme Law of the Land. However, the President of the United States according to the Word of the Constitution must “preserve, protect and defend” the Constitution every day of his presidency and not “to finish“ it. Do you agree with that?

Another alarming circ-umstance is your refusal to publicly present your original Birth Certificate with no sanitations and disclose a name of Hospital you were born after all. It is absolutely necessary in order to stop once and forever all the rumors that you may not be “a natural born Citizen” of the United States. According to a precise order of the Constitution: “no Person except a natural born Citizen... shall be eligible to the Office of President...”

That is not all! Recently, you have made a few appointments of top members in your future Administration. One of those appointments happened to be unconstitutional. The Constitution in Article I, Section 6 specifically orders:

“No Senator, or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States, which shall have been created or Emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time..”. Do I need to name the Senator you have appointed to “civil Office under the Authority of the United States” in contradiction to the Word of the Constitution?

Do I need to name the Senator you have appointed to “in contradiction to the Word of the Constitution? Do you truly think that a retroactive decrease of “Emoluments” by your party comrades in Congress just for a single purpose to accommodate your appointment of Mrs. Clinton to become the Secretary of State could make this appointment more “constitutional“? What about the Constitution’s order: “No... ex post facto law shall be passed“, Article I, Section 9?

The Article II, Section 1 does say: “The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America”. However, the latter makes you a faithful and humble Servant of the Constitution and not a Master with the Power over the Spirit, the Word and the Intent of the Supreme Law of the Land.

There is still some time left before you take Oath of Affirmation. Therefore, you have a rare opportunity to begin practically “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States” in advance and make your future moral declaration to be the truth no one can deny.

I am confident that the very first proper step in that noble endeavor is with the best of your Ability publicly and honestly to answer the questions and resolve the controversies mentioned in this letter of mine.

Sincerely,
Boris Tiraspolsky, writer
